BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The Bills' wild-card round game vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers has been rescheduled to Monday at 4:30 p.m. EST from Sunday at 1 p.m. EST due to an incoming snowstorm in order to prioritize safety in the region.
The move was announced in news conference held by New York State Governor Kathy Hochul on Saturday afternoon. The decision came after conversations with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, emergency response teams, Bills leadership and the NFL.
A winter storm warning is in effect for the Buffalo area and surrounding counties, including Erie County in which the stadium in Orchard Park, New York, is located. More than a foot of snow -- and as much as three feet -- is expected in the Buffalo area, according to AccuWeather, and with winds potentially as high as 65 mph. A travel ban is also being put in place beginning at 9 p.m. on Saturday night.
The Bills also had a game in November last season vs. the Cleveland Browns scheduled to be played at Highmark Stadium moved due to extreme snow and wind so that resources could be focused on the people in the Buffalo-area. The game was played at Ford Field in Detroit.
In the last instance of a playoff game being moved due to weather, the NFL moved the time of the Steelers' 2016 2016 divisional round game in Kansas City Chiefs from 1:05 ET to 8:20 ET.

Possible 60 mph winds are expected tomorrow. That would be maybe the highest ever for a game if they decided to play.

I know what that sound feels like. Anybody else?

Maybe they did the right thing. That weather isn't fit for polar bears and seals.
Game was scheduled for tomorrow I thought? Tonight yes 24 hours all clear?

Looks like he might be downtown. Orchard Park gets it worse so it might be unless it recently stopped snowing there too.
